FAQs
What is the dress code?
Semi-formal, theme ‘secret summer garden’.
Think generous pops of colour, whimsical, formal garden party but not quite black tie.
Is parking available?
Yes, parking is available at both Cloudehill and the Olinda Tea House. Spaces may be limited, however street parking is also available.
When will I need to move my car?
The Cloudehill gardens car park closes at 5pm. For guests who have parked in this carpark, please move your car to the Olinda Tea House (or surrounds) prior to making your way into the reception.
Can I get an Uber/taxi?
Of course! We encourage you to party the night away.
Top tip for those catching an uber/taxi home - you may wish to pre-book your ride as these services can be hard to come by in the hills.
Can I use my phone during the ceremony?
We would love for all guests to be present with us during the ceremony. We kindly request all guests refrain from using their mobile phones during this part of the event. Our photographer will capture these moments for us all.
For the rest of the night, go for your life! Snap away.
Will seating be available at the wedding ceremony?
Yes, limited seating will be available during the ceremony. However, as there will not be a seat available for every guest, some guests may be required to stand for the ceremony.
Note that available seating will be prioritised for immediate family (first row) and guests who require a seat.
Once these guests have a seat, please help us to fill up any empty seats without leaving gaps.
What is the plan for wet or hot weather?
The ceremony at Cloudehill will be held outdoors in an open, uncovered setting. We recommend our guests be ready for whatever weather Melbourne throws our way on the big day.
The reception at the Olinda Tea House will have ample shelter from the elements.
Are children welcome?
Of course, we’d love for your little ones to join us! You are welcome to bring your children along. However, please note there won’t be amenities specifically designed to entertain children at the venue - aside from a couple of cute farm animals at the Olinda Tea House!
What kind of food and drink is there?
The reception will be a cocktail style affair to allow our guests to mingle freely.
The Olinda Tea House has an asian inspired canape menu with a mix of dumplings and other small bites - enough to fill you up throughout the night. For those with a sweet tooth there will also be dessert canapes and wedding cake.
Drinks (beer, wine etc.) are included in a package throughout the evening and we encourage you to partake as you please!
Note, the ceremony at Cloudehill is not catered.
Is entry to Cloudehill gardens included for wedding guests?
Yes, entry is included for our guests.
Usually, Cloudehill has an entry fee for non-member visitors. You will not be asked to pay entry to the gardens as a wedding guest.
